La vie en rose

La vie en rose

Quand il me prend dans ses bras
Il me parle tout bas
Je vois la vie en rose

The light of a Pink is not necessarily a ‘spring-time color’.  Whenever he takes you in his arms, you should be able to see your life in pink. As well as even in the dullest and most rainy day of December you can dare to wear a touch of pink on your cheeks, lips or why not, eyelids. Because it makes you glow and look healthy. Because it’s a secret weapon against the greyness of a no-sleep night. It’s delicate, chic and versatile. Although you’re not a ‘lace-and-ribbons’ kind of gal.

If you need more pink in your beauty bag, think about:

OPI Nail Polish in the shade #Sweet Heart A matte nude pink nail polish, which is almost an evergreen, at every age, in every moment of the year. It looks nice in two coats, though you could just apply one. It dries quite fast, but lasts intact for 4 days minimum and leaves your nail even, glossy and beautiful.

OPI Nail Polish in the shade #Dutch Tulips – This is a more reddish kind of pink you can choose whenever you feel a bit bored by the ‘usual’ wintery burgundy, purple, deep reds, but you don’t want to go neutrals.

Chanel Powder Blush – A touch of pink on the cheeks, without looking like a doll? First, be sure to select a product that perfectly fades into the skin and allows you to blend the color, through layers. Then, don’t apply it on the ‘apples’ at the very center/top of the cheekbones, but work it well on the whole cheekbone and according to your face shape, check the techniques for the perfect sculpting. You may need a little bronzer in the hollows of the cheeks for instance. As my blush is a bit ‘aged’, have a look at this version of the Chanel powder blush to shop  😉

Madina Pigments – Sometimes mat eye shadows look too dull on the eyelids, but shimmery ones look too strong for a morning make up. Do you know the feeling? To revive a little bit your eye base, or to give your usual  blush that needed ‘extra touch’ to boost radiance, pigments can be very handy. Those with small particles and natural undertones can be easily mixed to powder blushers or eye shadows to build a more vibrant make up. I picked up a pot of Madina, but you’ll find them from other famous brands as well, from Mac to drugstore brands. Choose the one you prefer or you find more affordable to you.

Guerlain Les Méteorites – Stored into an iconic metal case, this legendary loose powder has more than 25 years of beauty history behind. Incredible, isn’t it? Its flowery scented colored pearls, ranging from yellow to green, pink, violet have been designed to add brightness, correct, beautify. It doesn’t come equipped with the brush you see in the picture, as this is an accessory you’ll have to buy besides. With or without ‘its’ brush, it makes a perfect present to any beauty lover!

Dior Rouge Dior Couture Colour Voluptuous Care Lipstick #Rose Tutu 354 – What more in target lipstick than this one ? I shouldn’t add more than the tree magical words: ‘Dior’ and ‘rose tutu’. If you haven’t tried Dior lipsticks ever, you definitely should, they’re probably the best make up product from this brand. The line up is really rich in different shades and offers superior performances in terms of hydration and lasting properties.

Can you see life in pink now?

I too couldn’t resist the meteorites brush. It’s so pleasant to handle… And the meteorites are lovely. The scent, the grand-Guerlain history behind them… Loved your pink post :0)
